Yesterday, for Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, was baby's first Halloween. And, sure, he may be royal but that hasn't stopped his parents, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, from letting him join in with all the fun.
In celebration of Halloween, Harry and Meghan's Instagram account @SussexRoyal posted a photograph of the royal couple from this time last year, when they attended a special effects workshop in New Zealand.
The caption on the post read: "Happy Halloween! 👻 Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween from our family (and our little pumpkin 🎃) to yours!"
The post was signed off "TRH" - Their Royal Highnesses - meaning the quote came directly from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex themselves. "Little pumpkin", eh? That's got to be Archie they're talking about, hasn't it? And if it is, just imagine how adorable the little five-month-old would look all dressed up in orange. What. A. Pudding.
Meghan and Harry are known to have a particular penchant for celebrating Halloween. In October 2016, just a few months after they began dating, Meghan posted a photo of herself, holding an expertly-carved pumpkin over her face, on her now-defunct Instagram account.
It's thought that Prince Harry took the picture while visiting his then-girlfriend on a top secret trip to Toronto, where she was still living (and filming Suits) at the time.
We can only hope that they took a recreation of the photo this year, this time with baby Archie in tow. My heart 💔.
