Guys, I think Billie Eilish is trying to kill me. On Wednesday, January 30, the 17 year-old emo-pop singer who went viral for her debut single Ocean Eyes (which has accumulated over 194 million streams on Spotify) dropped a new song AND video for Bury A Friend. It creeped me out. It gave me life. It fucking slapped.
But that's not all. She also revealed the release date for her highly anticipated debut album, "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?"
It looks like I won't be sleeping until March 29. Not just because I can't wait for more from the When I Was Older singer, but also this:
Seriously, beyond the captivatingly creepy video of Billie stuck in some kind of hell asylum (hey, Ryan Murphy! Might want to give her a call for American Horror Story), the beat of Bury A Friend will have you dancing at your desk in between cringes. Watch the full video here:
But can we talk about these lyrics for a second?
What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me?
What are you wondering? What do you know?
Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me?
When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
I am scared of you Billie, don't you worry about that. But that doesn't mean I don't care for you.
