If you’re a Kissing Booth fan, your first thought when Joey King and Jacob Elordi broke up IRL was probably, But what about the sequel?! 500 Internal Server Error

On the podcast Mood With Lauren Elizabeth, Joey addressed the drama in a very low-key way. “Making the sacrifice of what, obviously, everyone is thinking about—outwardly addressing, but what I’m kind of on the sly addressing, making those sacrifices was totally worth it.”

Uh...did she just say sacrifice?! That makes it all sound pretty serious, don’t you think? Oh, and just to clarify, it kind of sounds like it was only “worth it” for the sake of the movie. Joey’s statement doesn’t really leave the impression that the payoff was at all related to mending her relationship with Jacob.

“It’s a real thing. It was fine. It was good,” she said, later adding, “It was crazy. It was a wild experience. But honestly, it was a really beautiful time. Because I learned a lot about myself and I grew as an actor. I grew as a person on this.”

I mean, what else would you really expect anyone to say about working on a whole-ass movie with an ex? You have to hand it to both of them for making the best of it and using the situation to grow. (Even if Jacob looked absolutely miserable in the video that announced his return to the movie. LOL.)
